Any idea what sort of power levels the stock fuel pump can support , anywhere near the 450hp mark
If not, what sort of fuel pump should I be after, and where can I get one from
btw, I am running 30lb injectors, pretty sure they'll be up to the task |

The stock fuel pump will have hemeriods trying to keep up with the 30lb/hr injectors and big revs. Aftermarket pumps that bolt straight up are available from Holley, BBK and Walbro in 155, 190 and 255lp/hr - and Ford Racing as a 190lt/hr.

| My pump gave up at only 180rwkw, some have got upto 230-240rwkw out of theirs but as MrLandau said, the stock pump will have a lot of troubles keeping up with the 30lb injectors. I got myself a Walbro intank 255l/hr pump which is apparently good for 600hp. |

I take it that a Walbro is what you are using to support your 330kW.
Is the fitting of this pump very tricky or pretty straight forward ?
Also, I found a place in SA that sells these for $195. Is this a good deal, or is there somewhere else that can out do that price (btw, I am in sydney although I guess postage from anywhere is not that expensive) ? |

| $195 is a pretty damn good price, just make sure it's rated near 255lb/h.. Fitting is relatively easy, just fiddly. |

Yeah I have the Walbro GSS342 which is the highest spec intank pump they do, but any of the 255l/hr pumps (GSS340/341/342) are excellent units. Fitting is easy and will take about an hour. $195 is a good price, most outlets sell for $250-$400. |

| I've been meaning to upgrade mine for a while, as i'm running 24lb/hr with a reasonably high pressure reg. I'm sure going to something a wee bit bigger than 88L/hr will be worthwhile. |

I think they can consider one of units on ebay as good as sold.
BTW, Candalini is a good example of what the penalty should be for belting a Falcon Fords bite back |

Would we all consider that a good price?
Would it be overkill for my ~200RWKW 6cyl? |

Do you know what the difference is between the 340, 341 & 342 ?
Just curious as I cant find much info on these. |

Just for referance - GMS pumps claim
110 l/hr - 300HP
155 l/hr - 400HP
190 l/hr - 500HP
255 l/hr - 600HP
The BBK,GMS, Holley & Walbro pumps are pretty much the same.
Doesn't say much for the standard Ford pump does it...

The GSS340 and 341 are 255l/h pumps they just have different inlets, from memory the 340 is a large centre inlet and the 341 is a smaller offset one. Both will fit the falcon though. The 342 pump is a high pressure 255l/hr which flows more under high fuek pressures (mainly for use with forced induction and FMUs) but it is also more efficient and uses less current. Really any of them will support 5-600hp in a falcon so just get the pump that is available and cheapest. |
