Ok at the wreckers i do maintance for they have a big box full of eec-v but when they pulled them out they havent marked what model they have come out of. So does anyone one no the part numbers, want to see if they have anything worth puttin in the ol' ef.

Now from what i have been told the inside of the plug for ef is blue but the only blue one there was marked out of a au but there was plenty of red socket ones with numbers like 6bdd and so on.

can anyone help out here identifing what they have got.

The first number identifies the year of the EEC, 6bdd means its a 1996 EEC which is probably an EL one (The EL EEC's should have less pins compared with the EF and AU ones as far as I am aware, so that could also help). So look for I6 EEC's starting with 4 and maybe 5.

EF 4.0L and 5.0L are 104pin.
EL 4.0L are 60pin.
EL 5.0L are 104pin.

Pete.

In terms of what? Catch code? No, but it would have to be a very early part# Like an F8 or F9 prefix.

Will need to know the catch code for falcon, fairmont etc. AFAIK there isnt a comprehensive list of these anywhere.

BTW a 60pin EEC could be anything from XF to ED or EL (EF/AU have 104pin, as do EF/EL/AU V8).

I think you're first two catch code / part numbers are mixed up.

BTW most non-XR8 EF V8's (V8 Futura, V8 monty etc.) have a 4DED catch code.

Nick - NO EF/EL ECU supported by tweecer yet... and you should know by now it doesnt flash anything icon_wink.gif
