another quick question.. I have the stock 3.23 limited slip in my ghia, i seem to have quite a bit of "backlash" i think they call it ahh i cant remember but anyway the diff's done a few k's now, way over 230 000 and there is a knocking noise at certain speeds when slowing down from the rear somewhere. Just wondering what would i be looking at spending if i wanted to upgrade it to a 3.45 and would there be any real diffrence.
Also can i just get a 3.45 centre and have it fitted in my 3.23? |

Did you even read the thread? obviously the cheapest way is to weld it up, and if your a complete idiot you can do that, otherwise get a second hand LSD |

|
|
Anyone got an idea on where i can get a good mechanical LSD for my AU Ute, it has a factory one which just aint helping.
Its a AUIII Marlin 5sp.
I got the gimps at dealer to look at it but they seem to think it is fine and not that worn.
Local (WA) diff place wants $1000.00 to look at it and then tighten if possible, which i think may be s**t.
Factory LSD's must not be that tight...
I'm trying to make it driftable. NOT a burnout car.
At the mo' it trasnfers all torque to inside wheel halfway through slide which makes things a little interesting.
Also is it possible to get more castor angle into the fornt end. |

| An EBII or ED centre will, the entire diff assembly won't without stuffing around. |
