do you need an engineers certificate for changing seats that arnt genuine ford seats? i've heard you do from a mate who is working on his... i must admit, i hate my futura seat colors but screw an engineers certificate!!

check with vicroads, cos i dunno about victoria, but in qld, you only need a mod plate

well, if its jsut the colours u ahte, u can put other ford seats in cant u? like, that would be stupid needing an engineers cert jsut to put in fairmont seats or something. dunno about entirely different seats tho

you can get the factory seats re-trimmed, with padding, they will look like ba xr6 seats if u wish to go that far, just depends on what u are willing to spend

my mate changed his seats in his comby from the stockies, and he put in sports seats... didn't need a cert for anything. this is in vic.

what would i cost to get eb xr seats re-trimed in black and red leather with big tickford wings on on them. like the TS50.i know its not gunna be cheap or cloth just to look like the TS50. can you buy embroded tickford wings any where.

You're best off asking an actual upholstery place what it will cost you.

I don't know about embroided Tickford wings - I've never seen them for sale. I'm sure any embroidery place could make some up for the right price.

to retrim EB xr seats in normal cloth similar to original (nut better quality apparantly) I was quoted $350 a seat!!!!

the problem with embroidery and leater is that the stitching in the embroidery tends to pucker the leather
