EB Series II 6 MPFI dual fuel.

I recently (like yesterday) had to change the injectors because all of a sudden it would not run on petrol, ran ok on gas.

I thought that I had been doing the right thing in that every time I filled gas I would run the car on petrol for a few kilometers so that the injectors etc. had a bit of a workout. I run always on gas (except when I run out).

What should I be doing to avoid this problem in future? icon_rolleyes.gif

Same problem I had with my EA. That's why I wont own another duel fuel car.
I was removing and cleaning my injectors once a year at the cost of $120 for them to stop working once again after 6 months. I was also using petrol on a weekly basis.

The only thing you can do is to use petrol more often, preferably premium, don't use stale fuel and resign yourself to regular injector cleans.

Consider dedicated LPG and don't run out.

Thanks for that info!

I have been toying with the idea of going all gas, what would be involved with taking the petrol out and setting the car up properly for gas?

I'd say you would be up for a complete new under bonnet kit, including gas throttle body.

Why not tip a bottle of injector cleaner into your petrol tank every few mths? May help with keeping the injectors cleaner. I tip a bottle into my petrol tank every 3mths, but my LPG Injection setup starts the car on petrol, so i use about 10ltrs a month thru them, in the cooler months i can sometimes use 15ltrs, as it won't change to lpg until a certain coolant temp is reached.

Cheers

I generally run around 20 kms on petrol with every LPG tank fillup, haven't had a prob with petrol in the 2 yrs so far with this setup.
Running injector cleaner is a good move, and don't let the petrol stay unused for long periods of time, as it goes stale.
