| What a nightmare! All I did to my wife's EF Futura was rotate the tyres and bleed the brakes and now there is a hell of a clunky sound whenever you turn the wheel. Both directions and either under brakes or not. I've gone back under and can't see anything obvoiusly wrong, and I didn't play with anything while I was bleeding the brakes, which is a first for me! please help, marraige strained, stressed out, confused.... |

Strange one you got there!
clutching at straws here, did you cross over the tyres when you rotated or did you swap front to rear?
Do the brakes feel better now, if not maybe there is still some air in them |

| I swapped rear to the front, didn't go diagonal. The brakes feel about the same, but I put new pads in about a month or so ago, the only problem is they're Bendix. They are too dusty and give a crappy feel to the pedal. The only thing I can think of is that the inner tie rod ends may have been suspect and the hanging down of the suspension whilst changing tyres may have released a prevoiusly undiagnosed problem. Also, should there be some sort of resistance when trying to push the tyre up when jacked off the ground? In tha I mean should the shocker and or spring be pushing the suspension down all the way when jacked up, as you can push the suspenion up about 30 mm before feeling any resistance. shocker? It has asuspension kit ( lowered ) and big sway bars front and rear, handles a treat, but don't know how long the shockers have been in. |
