| Would a 05/94 fairlane be able to use the key fob? I bought the car at an auction and it didn't have the key fob. Can i just buy one from Ford and make the car learn it? If so, how? Is this a smartlock car? |

| Yes it has smartlock and you can reprogram new or even used smartlock remotes to your car. And when you reprogram new remotes the old ones will no longer work. To program new remotes you have to turn the ignition on (engine off) and push the boot release button 3 times within a few seconds. Then the doors will change state (if they were locked they will unlock) once that happens you simply push the button on each of the remotes you want to work on the car. Once that is done you turn the ignition off and the remotes should work. You can program a max of 4 remotes to one car and you have to program all the remotes in one go. All this is written in your owners manual. And congratulations on your purchase. I am sure you will be very happy with it. |
