Hi all,
over the weekend, I was trying to install a Tickford LPG System to my EF.
The complete system was factory fitted to another EF.
We have run into a few problems....

1. Was the air intake resonator different on the LPG falcons? The mixer does not fit where it should.
2. Would I be better fitting a LPG engine ECU (at the moment, I am running an EF XR6 manual one).
3. All the information that I can find says that on floor shift automatics, the LPG controller was located near the BEM, and on column shift automatics, this controller is located under the passenger seat. Where is it fitted on manuals?

and finally, was dual fuel an option available with manual transmission?

Cheers
Chris

I hope your getting an LPG workshop to go over the conversion & give you a compliance plate for it. Otherwise you are not legally converted to lpg & won't be covered by your insurance.

Ford did have Factory LPG ECU's, not sure about all the differances in the software compared to a Petrol ECU, but iirc the ignition maps are differant for LPG.

Air intake resonator? You mean the pipe from the airbox to the throttle body? If you have an LPG falcon & non LPG falcon there, you should be able to see any differance, if there is any.

Cheers

but its 5 mins work with a soldering iron to fix the manual/auto problem though icon_smile.gif

having the computer up next to the steering column will be fine, thats where mine is hiding.

p.s. im on a non-lpg ecu, and im hunting for one as gas runs like crap power wise.
