the XF Ghia cluster is a straight bolt in swap for the XF S-pack cluster, although i have heard of a few water temp issues

if you're upgrading from a GL cluster, you'll need to change the oil pressure switch for an oil pressure sender

if you have a Falcon GL or S pack, or an ordinary fairmont, you wont be able to have a trip computer without dropping in the Ghia/Fairlane/LTD dash

interestingly, in XF Ghia's/ZL Fairlanes/FE LTD's, the trip computer/clock seems to be linked in with the cruise control wiring, meaning that if the trip computer or cloc is disconnected, the cruise control wont work

The XF digital cluster were prone to costly faults, are you sure you want to head down this path?

considering the youngest XF Ghia cluster is now 18 years old, i'd think most of the faults wouldve disappeared by now......

mine flashed from dimmed to bright momentarily every now and then at night, but thats the only problem so far with mine

Mine used to do that, then it went away?? Nearly damn blinds you.

As for fitting a trip, a mate fitted a trip computer to a GL dash, a lot of f**k around, but he did it and it worked, except for the fact the fuel flow etc side could never work because it was fitted with a Cleveland in a XD, wish I could remember where he put it exactly, that was to long ago.

The faults can come back, its the design of the curcuit board and its components, which are now getting hard to find.

My wifes Ghia cluster use to completely die whilst you were driving and come back to life when it felt like it. Cost us $150+ to have repaired. Shop gave it a 12 month warranty, he told us then that parts are now very rare and the problem could return after a few years.
