We should be able to help you there. We need to know as much as possible about the engine mods you have, or are planning....Manual or auto.....and what you want to achieve. In other words, is it just a daily drive or, a daily drive combined with legal drags....that sort of thing.
Cheers

I'm assuming you're talking about a regrind.
To do a regrind cam, the cost is $122.00. Registered Post to Brisbane would be approx. $20.00. If we supply an exchange cam, there is a deposit of $110.00 added to the cost. This deposit is refunded to you when you return a suitable replacment cam to us.
Also note, as with all our reground cams, you will need to fit an extra set of 1.9mm standard shims. You can purchase these from your local Ford dealer for about $60.00.
Cheers

Yes, we still supply the 1521A cam as a billet.
Yes, we can supply "performance" valve springs. |

Yes, that's fine. It's up to you if you want to send your own cam for grinding. |

With the auto, and presumably a std converter, you'd be limited to the 1636 profile. There's no point putting a cam in that's suited to the turbo but that's too much for the transmission.
If you're running a high stall, you could consider a single pattern cam such as the 977B (open up the lobe centre to 115).
Either profile on your cam is $122.00. Exchange, add $110.00 deposit.
Freight, extra, if applicable.
Cheers

Hi Chris, I'll be calling you tomorrow about the 1636 to order this week for my EA, it's blown a head gasket, and we're putting in a new cam at the same time.
Other thing is a suggestion, if you could maybe add a thread to this area with all the Ford 6cyl + 8cyl cam profile names + specs + rpm ranges (approx) with a comments field, eg: "good idle, suit std ECU" or "needs extractors and exhaust" or "requires porting + ECU modifications" etc..
I just can't get to see this info on the site? is it in development, or that area down? |

Cheers Mav, I did enquire about that cam, but in al honesty Chris suggested the slightly less aggressive 1636 as a more sensible option due to the k's on my car.
This will be my first cam in any car, so it's exciting none-the-less
Because the 1636 is a more low-mid range cam, I'm also thinking the 4499's would suit it rather than the 4480's... |

G'day , Ive got a 98 EL Fairmont, and have been thinking about getting a cam for it.
Its a hybrid motor, with an auto, extractors, exhaust, etc, and is a daily driver.
Have you got anything to suit?
Cheers, Pete. |
