Members are advised that it necessary to fit an extra set of standard shims when fitting a "regrind" Wade cam. This is done in order to offset the amount that we grind off the lobe when we apply a modified profile to a standard shaft.
Please don't hold me to this, but, my understanding is there are 2 different diameter shims available. Approx. 11mm and 14mm . The standard shims are 1.9mm thick. I could be wrong but the important thing is that the shims that you buy are the same dimension as those already fitted. Derrrr . Yes, l know, l'm stating the bleeding obvious.
Cheers
Chris

We recommend that you buy them from your local Ford dealer. I believe they cost about $60.00 for the set. |

Are shims the same between EF's and EL's?
Same question applies for EA-EB-ED's ?
I would ask Ford but they get cranky when you ask them for info thats not paid for |

I really can't help you on that. The only thing l know is that all the shims are the same thickness....1.9mm. There are 2 different diameters. Don't hold me to this but l think it's 11mm and 14mm.
I have no idea however which diameters apply to which models. |
