| So what kind of fuel/air ratios were they, at what revs? Dirty injectors are common in e-series. |

Yes, we can do V12 Jag cams. It depends on what sort of grind you want, naturally.
Cheers

| after something with some pretty big lift on a head that has been decked 10 thou. its a race motor so idle quality can pretty much be non exsistant, however at the sacrifice of idle quality and drivability a pretty decent powerrange is required. the car will rev to 8000 rpm so drivability is between 4 and 8 grand pretty much.. suggestions? or would you like me to call? |

I'd go along with that suggestion....thanks Grechie.
You might want to consider stronger springs if you're going to, well, you know.
Cheers

It's not that the std springs aren't good enough, it's just that if you're looking to take the engine to its' limits, then you might want to consider it. Just a suggestion. Not a requirement.

hey, looking get a cam for my EL within the month. Its 96 EL (not hybrid), with extractors & 2.5in system, CAI and its auto. It is my daily driver but i hit the burnout pad a fair bit and occaisional drags. Engine is in really good condition (been looked after since new, just hit 180xxx). So looking for a suggestion for the best cam that will go with auto and stock ecu (lumpiest idle the auto could handle would be cool as i wish i had a v8 lol)
Cheers nick |

Gday im looking for something with mid to top end power.....
i would like to push 160+rwkw
im running 4.11 Diff gears
3000 Stally
Pacemaker comps 4480 and a 3" Exhaust
EF 4.0L Head shaved, Crow Double Valve springs
(maybe getting oversized valves)
AU Bottom end
Can you do a grind to give me 3000 onwards power, idle quality can be s**t i dont mind a lumpy/ rough idle and if it pulls to 6000 round about that would be nice. im wanting an auto falcon in the 13's badly!
not interested in manuals
i was given these figures by another cam company.....
would they be suitable?
226 at .050 DUR
555 valve lift
lobe separations 110 |

Hi Nick
Had it not been for the fact that you're running an auto, and a standard ECU, l would have suggested the new mix grind 1636C977B. Testing however has suggested that it is not suitable to run with an auto transmission. The 1636 profile is certainly OK for an auto and std ECU. Whether or not however it will be aggressive enough for you is doubtful.
The idle is certainly not lumpy by any means.
At the end of the day Nick, it's your choice. You can try the 1636C977B but l'd have to warn you that it might not work with the auto.
Cheers

The "hottest" cam that we have for the E series 6cyl is our no. 1521A.
The specifications are:
217 at .050 DUR
524 valve lift
lobe separation 114
The 1521A cannot be ground out of an existing cam...it must be a billet. I think you'll find it hard to get a billet cam at the moment. In most cases, they are unavailable.
Cheers
