|

All the E-Series vehicles have the same doors and that. So with the SWB all the sideskirts would be interchangable, right? Like could put EF Series II Tickford sideskirts on an EB Fairmont couldn't ya?
What about the LWB wagons, now I relise there longer between the wheels, so the skirt would go all the way (there'd be a gap with no skirt covering near the back wheel), but will the skirts actually attach on fine with no problems (I don't see why not as the doors are the same as the SWB, it's just got the extended bit after the back door)? |

yes, u can fit EF XR side skirts to an EB no probs
the side skirts come in at the back & front.. they go into the wheel arch to be screwed in.
you would have to cut that out to make it work.
i'd buy wagon side skirts |

One thing you have to be careful with is the shape of the car itself. Youd need a fairly different bodykit to whats available for the EA - ED to get it to match the round door moulds. You might be better off going for something like the venom sideskirts. Also, on a side note, i believe some commodore sideskirts either fit or come close to fitting. I think it might be the ute skirts though. Might be worth a look |

The only places that seem to make E-Series wagon side skirts actuially take the sedan ones, cut them and mod them to fit, and then charge 400 per side or something ridiculous!
I was wondering if I could maybe do this myself... Or get my mate who works at a body shop to do it? |

Yes it would be possible depending on what or how they need to be altered, bit of glass bit of bog, anything is possible.
The price from the shop is most likely driven by demand, the'd have moulds for the sedan, and most likely mass produce the sedan ones. with less demand for the wagon they just fudge up some sedan ones to make them work. (more work involved) |

You did that on your sedan/SWB. The wagons are longer (LWB, like the Fairlane), how much did you have to hack them down by, just wondering if they'll be long enough to go on the wagon like that too.
Once you'd changed the size down did they fit fine?
Were abouts would I source them from? I'm guessing Genuine Ford would set me back a fortune! |

Yeah i got BA XR SWB side skirts...
lopped about 30mm off the end and they went straight on (hold themselves on with NO SCREWS!)
if a SWB BA is longer then a SWB E-Series.
i imagine a LWB BA is longer then a LWB e-series
but SWB BA ones won't fit a LWB eseries (tries that )
i got them from someone who put a C2R kit on their XR6T.
FTG autosalvage had some BA XR side skirts a while ago ($250) so u can get them
just gunna be hard to find BA LWB ones |

| Maybe I should get some SWB AU or BA ones and extend them. I'll talk to xr8 dismantler and see what they've got... |
