Hey guys i wanna take my car down to my local tuning shop n c what figures im pulling b4 i put on my next set of mods.
What precautions do i need to take before i put my car on the dyno so nothing goes wrong???? |

check oil level...
check tyre pressures../nails/screws..
use correct fuel... (premium if you have a few mods)..
make sure you have atleast a quater of a tank of fuel..
keep the interior tidy for the guy dyno'ing it..
and have a cammera handy for happy snaps... 
Oh and BTW....there's no such things as "quote- so nothing goes wrong".. on a dyno you are pushing the motor pretty hard... look what happened to data mines old EL... snapped the tail shaft.. although he did raise the rev limiter.. although just an example of what can happen... |

| Remove your air filter for that extra couple kilowatts, depending how dirty it is in the first place. |

in that case pull the whole induction right off and insist on doing a dyno run with the bonnet up..  always gains a couple of kilowatts.. |

if your just doing it to compare mods what does it matter? its not like your competing... |

that quaote is all well and good.. however have you ever tried it to back up your claim? ive done it many times... with and without the induction on.. and EVERY TIME i see 3-5 kilowatts more at the wheels... |

Can't argue with Fordfreak on the above. Removed entire intake on standard EB and picked up 4rwkw. Removed air filte from XR6t and picked up 8 odd rwkw.
BTW funkxt are trying to run up posts???? |

| My XR6T only went from 271 to 273rwkw with an air filter removal and to be honest I'd put it down to a different dyno on different days. Who drives around with no air filter anyway.. |
