give your ef/el 6 cyl more power simply by placing a resistor on yhe air intake sensor this will make your computer think the air going into your motor is COLD!!! STEP1 disconnect negative terminal from battery STEP2 dissconnect air intake sensor plug and place resistor into plug use electrical tape to secure and zip tie plug to keep it secure STEP3 Reconnect battery and start engine (DO NOT REV) let idle for 5 mins STEP4 turn off car and locate engine fuse (near the battery) remove engine fuse wait 10 mins and replace start car again let idle for at least 5 mins turn off again its that easy RESISTOR COLOUR CODE- ORANGE,WHITE,RED,GOLD GOOD LUCK |

| so what happens 500km down the road when the ECU has figured it out and compensates for it? |

well, on a positive note, it appears your revealing their crappy secret so your obviously not trying to sell any secrets.
Which has me stumped why you have joined and as a first post promoted the resistor tricks.
Sway my concerns, tell us a bit about yourself and your ride. |

| it wont because the air intake sensor is a thermister which is a resistor that chages RESISTENCE VALUE dempending on air temp (incoming air) by replacing with this resistor it gives CONSTANT RESISTENCE therfore the computer will allways think the air is cold |

So by giving the ECU false hope of more oxygen to burn, therefore causing it to dump heaps of fuel that has no chance to burn at the optimum ratio, thats supposed to give you a "noticable zip" ???
Why didnt you read the sticky about this s**t, then if you werent convinced its s**t, then ask a few q's about it, instead of promoting the s**t when you dont clearly understand its s**t? |

| What I learnt in chem, was that if the reaction isn't balanced, there will be an excess. This excess will be rich or lean in car terms. So this resistor doesn't work. however, tell us more about your ride, it may be plane jane but do you have any plans for it in the future. There are plenty of fast EF's on this forum. |

| all u'r basicly doing is making the ecu think its getting more air then it really is. and it therefore compansates by adding more fuel, kinda think of it as always having a choke on, its not a good idea. if anything u may. MAY produce a little more torque as u get maximum torque at about 110% fuel are ratio. |

Hahahaha... This "mod" is almost as good as the "fuel savers" they sell on ebay... For those that don't know, they are little clamps you put on the fuel lines, yeah they save petrol alright!!! |

so this is a bit like taking off the map sensor pipe and having all your fuel come out the back in a cloud of smoke.
lol/
