Sorry, but i cant seem to find a post or the doco (if there is one) on how to change the light bulb located near the gear know (the one which illumintae P R N D 1 2 3) is it just that you got to jummy up the insert or do u have to take the whole shifter off??? and wat bulb is needed.....

Guide for EF
Hold the bottom hut and the hdanlde should just unscrew off. Thanke the nut off and now its easy. Grab a flat headed screwdriver and gently pry it off. SInce you have auto you should have the economy switch. There is a loom going to that switch and a big bulb underneath. |

If your fingers arent too chubby, put the selector into N (handbrake, people!!) and pry the surround off - i've managed to get a new blub in there without removing the handle. But then - i'm a lazy, lazy man.
No idea what kinda bulb! Think it is the same as rear 'reading' lights. |

Im guessin thats the same as an EL Thanks for the help... oh and wats the HUT......
