having this under wraps for almost 12 months or so only a hand full of guys new what was going on, finally after counless attempts , rod & piston combos & destroying blocks the perfrect package was found. The second motor is in production & hopfully will be ready for our next dyno day pending our neighbours, fire department & the police ........ some of the guy's here no what I'm talking about! icon_rolleyes.gif

The bottem ends will be build to handle upto 450hp but with the new rods that I've just aquired we can push to 600hp+. Now for those that are going to say that the i6 is already stroked yes your right, so look out side of the square icon_idea.gif . Once I'm happy with the durability of this engine meaning thrashing the s**t out of it........I will have them for sale for those that want the ultimate torque monster, packaged with my head & cam combo's & still running factory ECU's what more can you ask for.
As for prices ATM I'm still in the proces of working it out, so a group buy may be a cheaper alernative as I can haggle with suppliers. So far this set up if for the E series blocks, once I'm happy with the then I'll move to the AU if its doable, the E blocks are easier & cheaper to play with!

As a joint project Geoff from snort will be sending his twin turbo combo then I'll set one up for forced & see how far we can go.........

thanks

Joe

can i put in a guess and say brazed in cylinder sleeves with something like a 100mm piston and posibly and offset crank to 100mm???? that get close to 4.8L

on stock stroke you'd need a 101mm piston to get 4.774L

subaru EJ25 engine runs 99.5mm piston and a comp hight very close to what the AU pison has. Wouldn't be hard to get semi custom piston done based the EJ25 one, with adjustments made to suit a BA rod pin size and comp hight to suit.

that is if you went with a large bore.

Any ballpark price figures? Is this going to be a feasible option for a regular average wage earning person?

well you'd be hard pushed to get anymore then 100mm stroke, the rest has to come from somewhere. there arn't to many ways to push the bore size into the water jacket icon_wink.gif

PS check my edited first post

as for forced applications its something that I will be doing but again the durability is want I want as a N/A then we go from there as far as the new crank & rod combo 600+hp is very doable but relabliity is what I'm after ATM.... as this is uncharted water so to speak.

& yes you can run LPG if you want as then I can change comp ratio to suit so all of these engines will be made to suit what you want Street N/A..... LPG or Forced set ups.......
