i had very simular problem when i did the speed holes. what i found fixed it,
was the hose that comes off the top of the fuel presure reg, i blocked it off.
has increased fuel pressure slightly but has also fixed my lack of fuel when
giving it s**t off the line problem.
give it a try and hopefully it works for you guys.

you'd want to be careful you didn't turn the car in to a VE SS doing that

they had a habit of disconnecting the fuel line inside the engine bay and spraying fuel on the header pipes.

hey guyz i installed a pod in my auto el today took like 20mins and cost a grand total of $35,makes a small diference bout a car length across 200meters icon_smile.gif worth the money.
it was about 30c today.warmed the car stock 400m up then 400m back, installed pod an hour or so later then did lap again noticable difference had reached 100km bout 1 to 1.5 car lenghts quicker than usual.i use a change in road surface as reference icon_wink.gif . i then cut the lower right hand corner out of the air box to take advantage of whatever free flowing air this part of the bay had to offer holy sh*t did this make a difference not really in power but in response and noise .my exhaust now breaks note around 2 1/4 revs a whole 1000 revs less then stock intake and it is hell grumbly now ,even when i give it a little punch down low.
i am glad im not a p plater anymore lol

i have been scrounging round th front bar /front grill looking for a way to get a pipe through.
its pretty obvious i wont be able to get anythin bigger than a 20mm (outer) pipe and 20mm inner if i cut a bit of the back of th r/h head light bracket out mindin the ac ,wires an other crap.
basically garden hose size .could put a funnel on it ! pointless really.
i have come to the conclusion that the only way of getting actual cold air to my engine without drillin a 50mm hole in the structure of the car or removing a head light, is through the bonnet a small vent above the box and 1 in it .
or removing a small piece of bonnet next to the snorkel which would look sh#t house.
plus the only way to test wether or not your air is actually colder is to stick temp sensor in the pod and see .pretty sure d**k sell a digital temp gauge with long sensor wire for bout $20
el/ef has to have the worst positioned throttle body and worst designed plenum thingy i have ever seen thats my 2 cents on el/ef cai

Troyman, I like what you did to your airbox.....Does it give a louder induction sound? I'm contemplating doing something similar to mine.

i ended up drilling about 8 holes, smallish, 5 on the passengers side, 3 on the front. i didnt want to gauge out great chunks and find out it didnt work..

its a cold morning, so id assume the new found easy breathing was thanks to that.. but ill give it a decent boot today and see how it goes, might make bigger holes later on and see how that goes.

Say - have you seen the EFI config on an XE/XF Falcon? - YUCK. That setup worked best with the battery in the boot, and a VN Commo Airbox with 90mm pipe in through under the guard.

Here's another one, I did today on my mate's Au falcon. Also removed the 55mm restriction in the airbox exit adaptor.

Throttle response is a whole lot better considering the car is bog stock and revs out better. Doesn't feel starved of air anymore.

cheers

I have a kit on my EF which has a 2 holes in the bumper.

Would the best option for me be to cut a hole in the airbox and run pipe to the other side of the grill behind the bar to force air into the box? or could the air somehow be forced out the snorkel or somethin like that?
