Just goes to show that if you're going to spend big $$ on a car you better plan to keep it for a very very long time. Assuming he bought it new in 1995 for $35-36K and spent another $20K on modding it he stands to loose a fair bit of dosh....

If you wouldn't pay more than $20k for the car if it's done up really well and turbo'd then you must get your cars bloody cheap over there. By the time I looked at the ad it was gone, but over in WA you still pay $17-20k for EL's and early AU's.

Having said that, if he wants $30k plus for a pretty stock looking car with turbo then that is asking too much, did it have better brakes etc? If it's just a stock falcon with a turbo then I'd agree it'd only be a few $$$ more than a std one because only d***head put turbos on Fords without at least getting better brakes. It also makes them a dime a dozen...plenty of 'stock' fords with off the shelf turbo kits now, turning me off doing mine now....be different, just like everybody else.

Slightly off topic but its modded cars..
I was at Eastern Creek yesterday at the Ford Holden drag meet...
There was a Fox body Mustang there with all the SVO gear...
These guys imported this whole car for $28.000 Australian...
Not bad for a potential sub 8 second car...
Drag car only though....
