| hi i am trying to find out how to bridge my air sensor on my ed falcol can any 1 help me or give me a site i no it can be done on an el any help would be great thanks |

| hi becuse i hear if you bridge the air sensor the air flow is sent as cold so therefore the car runs a lot better and more performance |

| haha.. if the intake air sensor is reading cold the ecu will make the engine run richer... at $1.50/L why would you want that? |

there is a resistor that sells on ebay that does something similar..
but as the ecu has a learning peramiter so the resister will only temperaraly work as once the hego sensor senses the over rich mixture the ecu will adjust the fuel ratio to try to lean it back out..
i think if you were to just short it out it would put the ecu into limp home mode.
or possably wont start or idle as the ecu needs a specific load return to give it a reading .
if you just short it out the load returned to the ecu wont be within the specified voltage and it will give out fault codes as a air charge failiure..
and afaik the air charge sensor and hego are in-operative at wide open throttle. i think its closed loop mode? so on full throttle the ecu has a factory setting so if it does run it wont do anything at full throttle..
therefore a waste of time!
also the sensor on ed is the same as the el one.. |
