|
|
I'm looking to grab myself a motorbike for getting to and from Uni. Sad thing is, I'm a little short on funds after doing the interior in my car
The head is a 94AB head which had only done 127 000km.
According to the person I bought it off of, it has been ported and polished. I got a guy who does heads to take a look at it as soon as I bought it and he said it has had a good job done. All the coolant ducts are in next to perfect condition which is very rare for these heads.
The cam is in good nic and is a Camtech stage 1 cam. Perfect for autos. Info about it is here... http://www.camtechcams.com.au/cat/ford.html
Specs...
Stage No - 1
Grind No - CT006 813B/801A
Description - Smooth idle, good bottom end and mid range power. Suitable for std or slightly modified engines. RPM RANGE 1500-5500
Trans-mission - ANY
Cam Timing - IN 18-57 EX 50-14
Advertised Duration - IN 255* EX 244*
Duration @ 050' - IN 214* EX 208*
Cam Lift - IN .241 EX .240
Lobe Sep - 110*
The guy who I bought it off of said he made 147rwkw in an auto with nothing else done the the car except a cat-back exhaust.
So all up, you get the head ($250) with all the work done to it ($1200+) and the cam ($200). A total of $1650!
I'm asking $600 for the lot. $1050 less than what it would cost you to do the same thing!
I am also willing to separate. $150 for the cam and $500 for the head
I am willing to post but it would probably cost in the vicinity of $100 due to the weight.
All this setup need before it can go on a motor is facing and a clean up.
Pics...

Bump... Open to offers
This is bloody cheap! When used with good extractors, headers and a manual it would probably make 150-160rwkw. |

You really are an idiot
The main thing is that Uni starts in three weeks and the reality is that the engine rebuild I had planned is not going to happen in such a short amount of time. I really want a bike for Uni so I'd rather sell this now and buy a bike rather than have it sit around for another 6-12months until I have time to use it!
I know I'll be kicking myself later on as it'll cost me an arm and a leg in the future if I ever decide to start the project again. But oh well. I'd rather sell the head now, buy my bike and regret it in a years time. |

| can you please give me an idea of courier costs for the head to 3450? Thanks, i cant buy this week right at the minute, possibly next week. What sort of benefits are to be had with a supercharged setup? Ive already got a cam. |

This is perfect for any forced induction setup as it flows more air at a higher rate. And the idea of forced induction, be it turbo or supercharger, is to force more air at a higher rate into the engine.
Postage costs without the cam to 3450 would be around $80. |

| buy the head put it on a flow bench and see what its rated to, there is no onther way to even find out if it would flow enough to get to those HP levels. |
