How do you fit the LEDs are they just plug and go or do you have to wire them up. I've looked at the back of the ED cluster and it looks as if the globes just plug in, I can't see how they make contact with the electrical circuit and light up.

Are the LEDs id need 194 signal/marker bulbs, will they fit straight into the bulb holders or is fiddly soldering needed?

is the process the same as is shown here: http://www.fordmods.com/forums/documents.php?doc=1

All parts from Jarcar. Theres 2 types of blue LED's, a bright 1 and a really bright one. I just used the bright ones but i'd recomend using the really bright ones.

You'll also need resistors which is explained on the technical document i mentioned before and heat shrink, a bit of souldering and there you have it! You can do other colours too if you wish but they need different types of resistors.

I just did mine. Used Inverted LEDs, probably not a good idea. Theres a few darker parts, between 1500-2000rpm on the tacho. But it inly cost $12 for 10 leds in holders. Just pulled em out, twisted the legs n pushed em in.

Only way to know would be to try them out.

If you find the light is too directional, try lightly sanding the leds with some wet and dry, to disperse the light more, to make them more like globes.

Yes technically are plug and play, but the inverse type give horrific results.

If the LEDs are SMD or the little dome type that's probably them at their very best unfortunately. If anything go for the higher output rectangle multi-angle type that are selling on ebay...the other thread on fitting them to EA - EB dashes covers them. They'er advertised as R32 Skyline kits

yea i got the dome system, i figure the problem is that the light instead of shining through the numbers is going over the top and shining onto the front... its a real pain in the a**, but its what ford was using at the time, i might look into the multi angle ones thanks
