that steep hill wouldnt help ur average... i would try resetting the trip computer to measure the average AFTER u have arrived at the top of the hill... that way it wouldnt be slowly dropping from an overly high average if u reset at the BOTTOM of the hill... get me?

Petrol at $1.349 - it is ridiculous.

I am seriously considering gas research for the NL.

No petrol at all, just LPG.

Neighbours keep telling me to go to diesel - how much would that cost?

I may even sell the NL and just work on the NF - that has got LPG, but a bad looking rear.

keep it either dedicated fuel or dedicated gas... as either are reliable... sometimes "gremlins" can creep into an engine that is "Duel fuel"... not saying there isnt reliable "duel fuels" or they "dont work"... just hear of less things happening to the "dedicated" cars... no diesel fords...-ATM... mayby soon though...

On a stock EA I lowered the fuel pressure and bumped up the timing on the stock computer and improved economy alot. But not as much as when it has a fully programable EMS8860 I was getting less than 9.5l/100km combination City/Hwy whereas previous to any mods it was closer to 14/100km. But tuning for economy can bump up emissions.

Just wondering how "But tuning for economy can bump up emissions". I was under the impression economy meant less fuel, which in turn would mean less emissions??

I understand that when fuel usage is reduced, it does decrease the some emissions, but apparently NOx levels go up.

I have also read that lean cruise modes are no longer allowed in ECU programming for this reason.

Wow, somebody got under 6lt/100 from a falcon! Far out.

If i drive my mighty boy fairly soft, i can get 4.5/100 out of it, but man it's just too slow. My EB, i'm running an avg of about 16/100 with 3k rpm changes, lots of varied driving, suburban & city. On the highway, i get down to about 10/100 atm. I think my MAP & EGO are in need of replacement tho.

Economy is almost exactly the same between petrol & LPG.

Cheers

just looked at my post above from 2 years ago!! icon_razz.gif turns out there may have been a slight type o...

instead of 5.6... i think i meant 6.5! icon_redface.gif but the essence still is, thats pretty bloody good. Runs in the low 8s on the highway normally. around 13-14 around town.

nice mine btw! icon_lol.gif
