Where did you get your gear knob from and how does it match the door trims?

i got the gear knob off ebay second hand, it matched the eb woodgrain better but it still looks ok.

So does the EL gear knob screw straight onto the EB selector?

That is EL Mont Ghia door cards. I have just done the LTD Trims on mine, they didnt have the Ghia badge, so i unpicket the top front ones and used my old tops. Also I used the top leather section, as the LTD ones were this funky checked carpet.

Hmmm, sounds like something I want to do mate.

I want to use the leather bit that your arm touches on my DL LTD door trims with a velour door trim from either a Fairmont or Fairlane.

Hey Troyman

Looking good. I know how much of a pain it is to change all that lower trim over. Which is why I am yet to do mine LOL

nah
i dont really like polished alloy finish on the console (i think it would be to shiny and would get you in the eyes while driving) i use to have a chrome gear knob and the sun light reflecting off it use to give me the s**t.
so my shift surround and the rest of the plasic has been painted metallic grey..

I was asked to post a few pics of the foot operated park brake, so here they are, as this thread discusses this on the previous page:

this is the most recent mod.
i recently got a new pioneer head unit..it had a usb input for a memory stick or i pod..
the cable was runing under the console up through a hole..
so i decided to mount the usb plug into the dash just above the hand brake.
