The heater pipes hit on the back of the lefthand rocker cover/cyl head. You need the lower engine mountings ( V8, any from XA to XE will fit).
The g'box Xmember will need to come forward, just weld on 50 X 5mm plates and redrill holes to suit. Use a wagon/f'lane tailshaft.
This engine is in a 90 model XF ute.

Cleveland will not clear the heater pipes with "any" factory Falcon mounts, lowering the engine will only cause the sump to hit the road at times.

C4 auto requires gearbox mount holes mods, but FMX bolts straight in to original holes, using a standard ex Falcon etc gearbox using standard engine mountings doesn't require a different tail shaft, it doesn't change the length, t5, most toploaders or C4 use the same tail shaft slip joint, C6/FMX and (?)bull nose toploader require a different slip joint.

If you have aircon installed but do not intend using it, just attach the heater hoses to the aircon evaporator and cut off the heater pipes, otherwise it is a dash out job and heater pipes relocated, not hard just time consuming.

XF uses a different firewall, using factory mountings you will have approx 12mm clearance between the head and the firewall, auto kickdown linkages will not fit, factory firewall insulation (Ghia's etc) will not fit either.

XE V8 accelerator cable bolts straight in.

BTW with stock rocker cover 302W the heater pipes clears the head, not sure about EFI manifold etc.

Been there done that (XF Ghia wagon 351C on straight gas 1992), and have been envolved in other XF V8 conversions, plus have worked on a XF ute fitted with a stock non efi 5.0L fitted, actually looked like it should have been in there.

So if you have any questions I might be able to remember what was required.
