ive had a look around the sticky and couldnt find the catch code for a 97 early 98 stock El (gli futura). auto with a standard diff?

i have reason to believe its either 6DBA or 6DAB. i dont know if its the AB as i read some where that its the 3.08 diff

and can an xr6, ecu or other drop in with out too many dramas?

hi
any std el auto ecu will work ok .there may be some differences in the shift points from different diff ratios..

with the codes the 6dba is a auto ecu. and the 6dab. is a manual ecu.
afaik this is how the codes are
6= the year
d=falcon--t=tickford
b=auto-- a=manual--g=auto lpg
a/b is the revision.
