I was just curious, I have a EF Ghia 5.0, it is currently returning 450-500km's out of around 70 L's of Propane Gas. Mixed driving. But with a fairly light foot!!

Is this a rough expectation of one of these on gas? Car is stock apart from a 2.5 inch Catback.

Also when I run it on petrol, as soon as you take her over 2,00 rpm you can hear the timing chain rattle..........this is due to the car being tuned for gas?? true?? U cannot hear it at all when shes drinking gas..

also after 3000rpm the motor really howls, I mean sounds like a kettle whistle out the back exhaust- is this due to the lpg??? Sort of an annoying induction howl-but most noticable out the exhaust... opinions??

unlikely u would hear timing chain rattle on petrol and not gas, what u are probably hearing is the engine pinging while on petrol and if this is the case u had better get it looked at before damage occurs,as for the mileage i,m not 100 percent sure whats good for your car,i have a f150 with a 302 and get on average 16liters per 100k,s and have a 115 usable liter tank, but its on full time gas. With the setup u have its a compramise between the two systems as to which one runs the best and returns good economy.

The LTD isn't on LPG, It runs 98 only.
I should have said which car I was referring too.

I have an EB XR8, stock throughout with 3.27 gears and Gas Research. I hoped for 400klm with such an expensive system.
It only pinged on Petrol so I cleaned the system out.
Haven't put enough petrol in to see if pinging has gone.
Timing is set to the standard 30.
