Could see some serious torque from that 293cid motor. any plans on mounting something stronger like a C4 in the near future? LOL

lol lol...... I love to see it hit 200rwkw but I dont think so, I'm not really worried about the kw reading but the NM is what counts AFAIC

thanks guy's

I reckon she'll make somewhere between 180-195. Remembering this is a plugged up (stock filter and zorst) motor I assume that's a reasonable guess.

no its not... taken from a previous post:

".....So at just over half throtle we made 117rwkw & 355nm of torque running my stage2 head & cam & the factory ECU, with a totally stock exhaust system & stock intake not even a K&N filter, the autos getting sorted out & a set of paccies 2 1/2 cat & mandrel bent exhaust & CAI as well.... "

there will be an aftermarket exhaust on it bu next run.

I agree with you on the torque joe. Heaps in the middle is the most fun, but you cant discount top end horespower. as the old man says, "torque gets you there, horsepower keeps you there."

yeah, it its doing 117/355 at half throttle in standard trim, that speaks well of a decent peak hp further up the revs scale..

standard as in what you get in the package, since the headers and exhaust wont be part of the upgrade you buy. how would a 4.8 ltr i6 be standard in any way shape or form??

Keep your mouth shut & they won't know! LOL
as far as they're concern. visually, its a 4ltr.

Has Joe thought of linking up with site sponsor{raptor} for some force feed 4.8 ltr? icon_razz.gif
I like to see it being tested under all sorts of conditions!

Ahh, excellent. Would a stock standard T5 handle this power without dying on us?

Thats an interesting point..

I'm looking to put 10 psi via eaton M90 into my EL motor.. together with the cam/exhaust/intake mods it has now.. that should give a sizeable boost (especially when you add intercooler and water injection)
Will the T5 handle it? do we have any big number fords with those sorts of mods running on a T5?

when new the T5's could handle alot of power but pushing a worn box is just asking for breakage.

whats the update on the 4.8? i want an inline truck engine in the ea. :D

if you have a search on youtube they state what Nms the T5 can handle... i think it was 490, so they use a mexican T5 (from mustangs) in the 5.6l T Series Manuals... (because it puts out 500Nms...
