| My conversion on Eb included ICE lpg leads. These are not cheap so for Lakeside to fit these they must be good. Other people have recomended them also. |

as far a I am concerned, THE best gas leads are made by AMR in Oakleigh. They are stainless steel wound, and offer almost ZERO resistance per meter.
I have put them on two cars so far, and idle has improved, and starting.
The best thing is that they are actualy MADE IN AUSSIE!!
They are a bit more expensive than other leads, but well worth the money |

| I've got you beaut 8mm AUTO ONE brand which are made by Top Gun on my V8. Never had any issues with them on gas or petrol. About $45 for a set for a 5.0L. |

The bosch ones I have had on for a few years finally started backfiring so I tried all outlets I could and the only ones I could get were Top Guns. When I enquired about them the guy agreed that the boxed sets have a problem and they are no longer stocking them but had a behind the counter trade pack of leads that are made by TOP GUN but are not labled..
Time will tell. |

| i've had a mega gas aust.system installed on my au3 never changed the leads but was told by the installer its very important to run gas plugs,i've never had a problem,i only change from petrol to gas and viceverser when the cars stationary, but using gas leads would be good insurance. |

ICE seem to have a great name & a lot of guys use them with a non resistor plug as recemended by ICE .
AMR Make Gasmaster Leads & they have a long term great name
QLD Ignition leads are great but carry little stock , however they can make to order whatever you want in a range of types & colours .
Thought Bosch were ok , then found on one of our cars the leads showed evidence of crossfiring after just three months !!!!
If you need em fast Repco have Champion LPG leads that will sort out most .
Hmmm but then if the old leads were so bad they overloaded the coil pack , sorry more $$$$$$

Yeah I have gone off the bosch product.
I tried to get them to replace a set that lasted only 20,000 k's and they would not. |

Right on the mark i know shane and richy well down at lakeside they also did my car. I also had Micheal from ICE at trade school for an ignitions sytems lecture. ICE are the way to go! 8mm and also make sure you get a set of non resistor plugs due to the combustion level of gas being a lot harder to reach than regular petrol. |

Does anybody know who the distributors of the ICE leads are for NSW. I found the website for ICE ignitions, http://www.iceignition.com.au/BODY.htm, but there is no contact info or any other way to request more info on the website
I too have been having a few backfire issues and I think it's time to replace the old 8mm top guns I'm currently running.
The ICE seem to be the way to go, but I can't seem to find where you can get them.
Cheers, Mick |

I have Bosch leads on the XR8. I put them on 10,000 klms ago when the LPG was fitted. After 5000klms I checked the plugs and one of the leads fell apart.
I have never heard of AMR? Anyone got details.
Previously I have run ICE leads without issues. |

Thanks for that JETEB6, I'll have to give them a call as I need a set ASAP.
Last night when driving home from watching the State of Origin at a mates place, the Lane had another backfire. Normally doesn't bother me too much as I have an Occy strap holding down the airbox lid at the moment for just this reason, but last night the bang was so big that the strap let go with such force that it actually put a ding in the bonnet I didn't notice it until the missus showed me this arvo when I got home from work. Damage done now and i'm not friggin very happy about it. As I try to see the positive in most things, I now have an excuse to get the bonnet resprayed. Paint is in pretty good nick but there are a lot of stone chips and now with a big ding added to the equation, it will be just as easy to get the whole bonnet re-painted.
Don't suppose anybody in Newcastle knows where I can get my hands on a set??? |
