1980 Escort pano. Body made of bog, non-existant exhaust, 1.6 with more oil on the outside of the motor than the inside, some wild lumpy cam, smily face stickers on all windows.
Wish i still had it! |

1st car was a Ford 1985 Telstar. Only modification was a chrome skull head on the shifter.
She did 380,000ks before she went to the big wrecker in the sky. |

| I haven't owned any myself. I had 2 mates with old cortina's though which I helped rebuild so I was part owner by proxy. One was a mk2 1.6 and the other a TC 2L that went great till the cam belt snapped and we had to replace it. It got totalled by someone running a red light. I was pretty into the 2L cortina's back then. That guy's brother bought a TD 4.1 ghia that was really nice for 6 months until he smashed it up. |

The Missus had a KF Laser, 1.6L. I know its really a Mazda design, but it was built in Homebush! Go Aussie built cars
Ran really nice until she smashed the front end. The FIL and I put a new radiator in, and bashed out the front and bonnet until it locked, and it was drivable again. Looked awful, but it passed another 2 rego's like that! Amazing. |

Can not remember if KF and KH TX3s were built here like the stockies (I have a feeling TX3s were not), but KC and KE TX3 Lasers were built in Japan and the stockies were built here. |
