Hi All,

Just a quick question, what is people oppinions of what springs to use to achieve same height as ELXR6.

I will have a poll with brand names of what springs to use.

I am going to use Boge shocks as well.

well obviously if you want xr height the standard xr springs will be the ones to go with.

but if you mean aftermarket stuff, generally king spring lows are around the xr height from what i have seen over the years.

i have whitelines, (see user gallery) proly too low for what you want

You car seems to be a tad higher at the rea compared to the front???

I just want to lower it just under 1inch as i just want it to look abit better and less body roll and all.

I was thinking of the factory xr spring but was thinking for the same money would it be better for aftermarket springs in regards to handling, firmness.

yeah its a tad higher (10mm or so, looks a bit worse in the pics) in the back, but its about the same difference that it had when it was stock. Its good though, can load up the back seat and boot and it still isnt too low to get over bumps and stuff.

If you're looking for a level height when not loaded, most people go for a staggered spring set, such as lows front, super lows rear, or super low front, ultra low rear.

I had the super/ultra combo and it sat very level and looked good.

I've since changed to Whiteline lows, and find them to be a fair degree firmer than the Kings I had previously. Personally, it handles much better than before. The ride is also alot more pleasant.

Ill vouch for whitline too, ive just got the controls (lows) which are supposed to be a 3cm drop, and the ride is fantastic and the front bumper clears *most* gutters too lol icon_lol.gif

They can but i really don't think you need to go there. You are better off researching your way until you are confident you have found what will work, which will be out there. If somehow it isn't there are other ways to make things work which with patience are good to learn anyway.

I'll say it for the sake of it though, for custom coils i often used to use Allsprings for cheapness, which were painted green, but they sometimes stuffed up. Otherwise Lovells if you are prepared to pay $$. But this information could easily be too old.
