|
|
Im trying to help the owner of a martial arts gym with his students payments. At the moment we just pay the money to him and he writes down on a piece of paper our name, amount and date. We get a receipt. We pay him monthly.
I was wondering if someone can point me in the right direction on how i should do this. I was thinking of using microsoft access or excel (not sure which one). I have very limited knowledge of both of those programs, as i forgot how to use them. But did use them at tafe and school about 2-3 years ago. Also the owner would have no clue on how to use these programs.
Looking for something basic where he can just check to see who needs to pay.
So the question is; Can someone point me in a direction on how i should do this.
Or if any one can come up with a better ideal. Will very much appreciate it.
Thank you |

| You could make a spreadsheet in excel but if you wanted to do it properly you'd use MYOB or the like. |

If you wanted a little bit of a challenge you could write your own program in VBA using MS Access as the backbone. If you have never done programming or don't feel up to it just set up a basic database in Access and be done with it. It will be much easier to search for who hasn't paid, when they last paid, etc. Will take you a whole 10minutes to set up.
VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) just puts a nice "window front" to it all.
cheers

How about an exercise or leger book, and a receipt book?
If he is computer illiterate, that may be the best bet...... |

Problem with a white board is that details are easily erased (or just altered) by anybody, and details are there for the whole world to see.
When it comes to financials and things like that, not everybody may be happy to see their account up in lights for anyones info........ |
