I beleive the Compressor changed in the EB Series. I think it was consistent across the EL/F Series

Smoke
Coming from someone who has both that seems pretty reliable info
In that instance I will set about making the best SC mounting bracket to ever grace the EF - EL series, something that will have total belt reliability..... as all our other kits do
Seems like there may be more room on this model for the whole supercharger assembly, this means bigger intake pipes etc ......... means MORE POWER. Anyhow will confirm this soon |

I'm sure that all EF/ELs ran the same A/C compressor..
My fairmont certainly does, and my old EF did.
Cheers

| As I said earlier in this thread ...BOTH EF and EL had the same SANDEN compressor, same pipe arrangement. |

Mark
You did indeed say that. I felt there was some conjecture (right word?) over the scanned image so I put it up for a double check.
Thanks again |

I am not sure as I have to get into the tuning side of it to find out the true cost. The charger and bracket etc is not too much different to AU but the tuning will be. It should actually be less cost but until its done I cannot be sure.
Stick around, I will put it all up as we go, you will definitely not be left in the dark about it.

| Some further progress has occurred on this kit, I expect to fully mock the bracket up tomorrow. I organised a few more parts in the meantime so that can happen |

No I don't at this point in time, I am likely to have some around Newcastle but maybe that does not help due to the distance.
If when I fully complete the kit you are interested to get it on then chase me up about it and I will put something in place for you. It will be very easy to fit, anyone with a few tools will manage it just fine.
Anyhow give me few weeks and I will not only have the kit complete but find the dudes you need to do a TRUSTED job.
Any truth to the story that there be very few trustable workshops around Canberra? |

| Yes, its highly likely to be ok ....... so long you haven't got too much overlap on that cam and assuming compression is stock |

They really are a DIY job. Tim has had 2 female customers self-fit his Commodore kits, which are harder to do than the I6's. The Commodore injectors can only be changed by removing the top from the intake plenum in the V of the engine, for example. It's not like they were female mechanics either, one is a vet nurse with a willingness to have a go and ability to follow instructions. She speaks highly of Tim's after-sales service BTW.
All the Raptor kits contain a generic tune to suit a stock engine, it handles things like exhaust mods OK. While it's always wise to do a dyno run to check AFR's, as long as your car is close to stock (ie stock cam) it shouldn't need tuning as such. |

Well progress point one was to buy the car
Progress point 2 was to identify the compressor as common to the models
Progress point 3 is the make a bracket system to bolt SC to engine.
Will take the various nasty bits to the laser cutting shop tomorrow and have them altered and produced. The bracket is mostly AU series but mounts to engine completely different meaning a second bracket behind it.
All pretty rough today, next time around no rough and all pretty
I will then get this fitted to some local cars quite quickly since a local dealer here wants 3 kits right away and get the few other details sorted like belt length and tune. Will be using the same 36lb injectors as in the AU kit for those who are interested to know. Been told these do not work in this engine numerous times but of course its complete nonsense, they are an absolutely perfect match.
Enjoy |

Thank you very much...
And yeah I must second that it does look extremely tasty...

But if its that easy to install ill do it my self and get some one to DYNO it for me... |
