6 x 70hp bosch injectors
Bosch 550hp fuel pump.
The fuel system gets to approx 70% duty cycle at max power with the current fuel pressure

| I didnt realise injector could go above 100% duty cycle. Mine only reach 60% at full power. |

IIRC
lb/hr x 10.5 = cc/min
52lb/hr = 546cc/min
70lb/hr = 735cc/min |

I doubt and adj reg would be able to up pressure enough to allow you to get an acceptable duty cycle on n/a...
You dont want the system working that hard all the time.. my pressure gets up around 72psi (from 43ish standard) at full boost but that's only for a few seconds at a time. I havent measured duty cycle but fair to assume it's 100% at full pelt.
Think it's time for you to upgrade.... |

Just buy bigger injectors... you'll be suprised how cheap you can get them. My only fuel system mod is the 255lt walbro pump and injectors. Im not a fan of malpassi force fed injectors...
Dunno what power, will dyno soon. |

|
|
I noticed you had troubles with cylinders 3, 4 and 6. Which inlet manifold were you using?
I grafted an XR6 style dual runner manifold on my first turbo crossflow setup. When I blew the engine I stripped it and found cylinders 3 and 4 had been running lean and pinging and cylinder 6 showed signs of similar problems but not as severe.
I built my own custom manifold with shorter runners (6 inch). The engine is heaps laggier but is more controllable when the power comes on because I don;t have a huge torque spike at 3500 rpm which tries to fry the tyres then drops off by 4800 rpm.
The power comes on later but pulls for longer right through to the rev limit and feels like it wants to keep going even then.
I'd be interested to see the results when you go custom inlet as I personally think it is one of the changes changes I ever made on my engine. |
