Well, its been quite some time since I last posted something on my
ELXR6, and the Eaton I was looking at setting up on it, but, a bright
spark where I work, saw me put that project to an end, I had my EL
run into by a forklift, no major damage, but I couldnt be buggered in
spending money on a car that was starting to look its age, sooooo...
after a lot of thinking I decided to get rid of the EL on Ebay, and was
on the search for another car, I almost brought a 2004 Clubsports, but
the attitude of the salesman turned me right off, so I went further up
along Sydney rd in Fawkner where I saw a BAXR6 outside this car yard,
I quickly stopped an went to have a look, an sure enough, LOVE at first
sight, saw it on a Sat, Tuesday I had it, a 2004 model Mercury Silver,
45,000 on the clock in like new condition, tinted windows, black interior,
an all the usual acc's, after comparing the engine bay of the EL to the BA,
I noticed a lot more room in the BA, in which to work in,  ... I
STILL have my Eaton superchargers, 1 M112, and 2 M90's, which I was
going to try and set up in the EL, so now, Im just debating which way to
go, either 1- M112, OOooorrrr... 2- M90s, I have been checking out some
setups in here and on the net, done to other cars, to give me ideas, so
far, Im more in favor of the M112 set up on the standard inlet manifold
with some mods done to it, water cooling an so on, only problem is,
might have to make a slight hump in the bonnet, anyways, here is a pic
of my new aquisition...

Same Questions different car..............
1 Charger simpler easier than 2 Chargers
You said in you previous thread that you had it all worked out.
Eaton over exhaust manifold, relocate power steering pump.
continue down that path and you should be good.
i would run a FMIC instead of a water to air, just seems easier to do, you shouldn't have a worry about cops pulling you over unless you are driving like a tool.

Well, thats what I thought too, till I started reading about what some did to their cars,
which in turn got my mind thinking overtime, but your right, that basic setup is the way
to go, and then, just improve from there, pity Paul from Tassie didnt have any figures on
his Eaton M90 setup, it looked quite interesting...

Go the M112 .. One major reason.. It doesn't heat the air as much!! Yes IMO the a2a is simpler, lighter and less complicated..
Unless you are really into drag racing it ??

Next question, I went to De fillipo's in Melton, and he's able to fabricate an inlet manifold
for $1500, which to me is a lil steep, I know that guy is good with his stuff, and he's
highly recommended by a few I know, but, I dont want to pay that sort of price for one,
so, I'm now debating whether to modify my existing manifold, so the M112 can sit on top,
if, its capable of taking such weight, or, sit it over the exhaust, with a heat shield,
making a cradle, and sitting the Eaton in it over the exhaust, sounds like the easiest way to go,
DAMN!!.. I wish I didnt have kids that soaked up money like it was goin outta fashion,
girls are the worst... .. and NO.. Im not into drag racing, unless its light to light...
and Im very conservative about that also..

This where a bigger Centrifical is better as there's less issues with fitting...
Bigger centrificals can come on power sooner. Depending on pulley size..

I have the Eatons sitting in the garage, so, I want to make do
with what I have, rather than go spending any more money than
I have to, too bad I dont have an alloy welder, I'd be going crazy
with it right now...

Fabricate it out of mild steel and exhaust pipe...
Then ceramic coat it.. Bling / strong....
The weight will be about the same as mild steel can be heaps thinner...
Mount where you think it could go and post pics..

Shop around for a better price - plenty of fabricators out there.
Does the De fillipo include some sort of water to air setup in the manifold.
M112 wont have to spin too fast to provide reasonable boost with the 4.0litre, so heat shouldn't be much of a problem.
plenty on Stang's in the US running these on the 4.6l quad cam with no intercoolers.
the manifold shouldn't be too hard to fabricate - build a box that joins the bottom half of the BBM to the base of the M112.... Unless you have to plumb anything else in - i know the m90-112's have a bypass valve on the bottom no idea what is required with that.

No, De fillipo's doesnt come with any cooling, he was gonna sit it straight on the manifold,
he did say that cooling wasnt necessary, as it shouldnt get too hot, Blue Power mentioned that
the M112 should see the BA to around the 300kw's

1500 - way too much IMO.
as i said shop around - take a BBM bottom half and the M112 to a fabricator so they can have a look at it and give you a good quote.

| Yea, Im thinking I might go get the metals, and do a lil bending and shaping on the weekend, see what I come out with, (probably somethin to toss at the cats)...lol..
