what intercoolers would fit an EL? Im just need some advice because I am getting a re-spray soon and thought I would get the intercooler fitted and the hole cut out of the front end before the turbo kit is fitted to save having another re-spray.

any help would be great, thx.

ive got a 600x300x75 intercooler in mine, didnt have to mod anything to fit it, just a little slice out of the lower bumper air dam. theres heaps of room behind the bar, and i didnt remove air con either. and ive put a big tranny oil cooler behind the intercooler aswell

yeh i think is just one of those ebay cheapys, you can definately feel the different in air temps with it. like touch one side of the intercooler and its warm otherside is cold and the pipe from cooler to throttle body is the coldest thing in the engine bay.

mine required a bit of 'creative' work to install.... Nothing too difficult though, my bumper mods are more looks anyway.... I orginally had
a pretty small one, which I replaced with an ebay cooler with 600 by 300 by 100 dimensions.... no probs here....

I've got the same, 600x300x75 cooler. Fits easy. Just needed to cut a tiny bit of the air dam, like el_xr6_luke said. Move the horns, which is easy as.

Stefan, i get about 5 deg above ambient. LOL

I had no dramas either fitting a 600 x 300 x 75 PWR Aero 2 air-to-air intercooler.

Stef, I'm rapt with 5 deg above ambient. But thats the blower for you, not pushing through hot air from the turbo.

I'm curious too, to see what intake air temps some of the turbo boys get?
