Haha, its funny, but its all relative really, a brand new commodore is a lower middle-class persons Rolls Royce, to his son, their new 15 year old EA as their first car is the ducks guts; and it is cos they dont know any better.
I put a pod on my 92 Magna when i was 18
It was so funny, this totally s**t car with a pod, the air induction noise sounded rediculous and it went through 30Litres in 100Km's because the IAT sensor in the magna's cant measure circular flowing air.
-Wow i totally just drifted off-
Even Pryoary's car is s**t, compared to a TT 911 to a multi millionaire, but to all of us its totally awesome.

circular flowing air. rofl. What's an IAT sensor got to do with air flow - it's a temperature sensor. Unsure on the magna's but it's probably in a place far enough up the intake system that any flow changes would be normalised by the shape of the various other components around. (manifold, throttle body)
(Wish I was a mod......) |

Oh yeah, it wasnt the IAT, but definately a sensor not being able to measure the circular flowing air.
It was a common problem, i remember reading that it was the reason why K&N brought out the rectangle filter for the magna's.
"The fitment of a traditional rampod cone / round shaped filter causes a swirling action of air which in any other application is beneficial to the air flow of the vehicle. Unfortunately this swirling action promotes a bad running problem on 90% of Mitsubishi's"

Lol still haven't dragged.
His car is running extremely poor.
He dragged my mates 1987 Camry auto 2.0 with a whopping 385 000k's on it and only won by a tiny bit.
I raced the same camry up to 90k's from stop and won by 15 car lengths!
I'll report back if anyone is still interested.
I looked over his car today and made a little bit of progress. |

| I found my EF shifts better in economy with foot flat to the floor, if its in power it revs out too hard as its changing, econ mode it seems to shift just right and not rev too high... and i always just leave it in D although id put it back in 3 for the drags... |
