Can I ask what logic would there be to having a police car with a kill switch?[/quote]
or a police car that has a switch to bypass the ecu .
i highly doubt that any cop cars have a switch that makes them go harder. |

I know the point of an immobiliser, but why would anyone bother fitting one to a cop car. If its not on duty with cops in it then its parked at the station... and I'm sure thats a hot spot for car thefts. |

| I think you will find, that if you flick the switch, a little LCD will pop up and give you directions to the closest donut vendor. |

keep in mind that although it was 3.9. when new the ea mpfi still did a 15.6 1/4 mile which is pretty good for a 6 cyl in 1988..its quicker than a the xf or vl which were still fairly new at the time..
and there is no way the police would have used a cfi 3.9..
i believe the ea mpfi was still quicker over the 1/4 than a std ef xr6..? |

yeah i was thinking more along the lines of when they are at a 'job' and might have to leave the car unattended like chasing on foot....... i dunno, just an idea really |
