|
|
Hey everyone, ive noticed my car seems to 'wobble' at various speeds, 40kph and 70kph from memory, its not the brakes as their is no brake shudder and i have not been braking while the 'shudder' occurred.
I just had a mechanic fit a secondhand auto transmission (from a manual) so the drive chain was replaced.
Seems to have become alot worse in the last few weeks, its no unbearable, just its noticeable.
Front tyres are new, rears are a spare which is very old and other is just roadworthy. Havent check the bearings yet, will do tonight
Any ideas? Hopefully this is a cheap fix

What size tyres are you running? If 18's etc, are you running a camber kit?
I would say, wheel alignment, tyre balance, wheel bearings.
I had same prob a few months ago, redone the wheel alignment, wheel balance and fitted camber kit at a steering specialist place. Not a problem now. |

Ive just got 15's.
Checked the bearings, they were fine.
One of the back tyres had a HUGE lump, so it was a long ride home for me, lol |

| How are the steering rack ends and tie rod ends for wear? i have to replace my rack ends again after 4 years. The car wanders and a slight clunk over bumps. |
