| When I sent mine away I had 2 strip it down, pull off the face plate and the HDD and just send back the bare unit. |

so it seems to be heat related yeh? that is what causes the onset of RROD?
im hoping i dont cop it, i have that silly "intercooler" on the rear of the 360 plus i have it in a nice open space infront of my window. so here is praying i dont suffer it |

I've heard that the intercooler doesn't help much because it uses more power to spin the fans and that heats up the inside more thant he fans would cool it. The intercooler isn't a Microsfot accessory.
Best thing to do is have the Xbox lifted up on feet so it has air flow all around it. |

I used to have dramas with mine locking up after I'd played it for awhile, presumably from heat.
I got one of those intercooler thingos and I haven't had a drama with it since.
Mine is one of the first ones too, I got it when they first came out. |

Thats good news Steady ED. My mate who is a 360 guru doesn't like them but if you have had one of the first with this intercooler on then they must work!! Awesome.
I got one of the HALO 3 edition consoles. I have mine up in the air. |
