Hi guys,
What is the best pads for front and rear for a EL Falcon sedan?
Im going to use slotted rotors and was recommended Bendix Ultimate and another recemended Ferodo but no particular model.
Any help would be great

| i would go the DS performance ones and make sure you put the shims on the back that way you will be sure to get no noise. and they are cheap good pads. |

The best depends what your using them for.
Probably the best affordable pad avaliable would be Bendix SRT - but they're about $250.00 for a set. And being Bendix probably noisey. I don't know how these pads perform when cold so possibly not the best for a car just driven fairly normally? I've got a set of these waiting for when my current pads die.
Next down would be PBR Performance, Formula Ferodo and Bendix Ultimates. Ferodo would be my pick personally.
Down from that would be your Bendix Advance and Ferodo Excels. Then the Bendix General CT and Ferodo Targets. Again Ferodos would be my pick as I've always found them to be noise free, and found Bendix to be the oposite.
EBC pads fit in there aswell, but I've never used them before so I've got no idea what tehy're like or what they compare to. But a lot of people on here seem to use and like them so I'm sure someone could fill you in. |

| ive got bendix pads on my au with no noise from them they also leave bugger all dust on my rims ill be useing them again |

The Bendix Ultimate pads are excellent, the ones with the blue stripe through them. They were $60 for a set of front pads for me at Supercheap.
Ferodo, in my experience as well as a few friends, are s**t, they are absolute rubbish, they squeel like a b**ch and cos they are so hard they probably f**k up your rotors, not to mention the huge SQUEEEL that sends shudders down pedestrians spines and the fact that they dont actually work as they should. Get used to your face going red also, the squeel is embarrassing

| it depends what type of ferodo's you were using. the exels and things like that in the really cheap range are like you said not that good but the DS performance which is the good road pad is excellent and the formula ferodo is about the same as the ds performance only more suited to the track. |

EBC greenstuff, they are not a bad pad.
Im currently using benedix advanced, they are quite good for noise and dust. but i think they are a tad hard in the compound. |

| In my EL I used to use Lucas Green pads and DBA slotted rotors, never any problems re noise. dust however. But that's the price you pay with slotted. |

I have the same probs with mine, gets worse when they are warm.
Not bad braking wise, maybe a tad harsh, but noisier than a screamer in bed.
Ill be going to greenstuff very soon. |

wtf ive used bendix ultimate, advance, ferodo cheapies, even superstop on my old commodore... none of them had brake squeel....
my fav pads are Bendix advance good in all conditions. and car stopped bloody awesome with them mated to some RDA Slotted rotors. |

EBC Greenstuffs are alright, although they are a bit dusty, they were noisy for the first week, but are quiet as now.
i am running them with some DBA 4000 6x6 wiper slots. |

| Make sure that you get the rotors machined. The brakes WILL develop a shudder within a few thousand km's if you dont. |

Slotted doesn't mean more dust though!
I have slotted with bendix advance and almost no dust.
I used to get major dust ups with regular pads and ultimates. |

i shal agree with rick. i have the same, slotted rotors and benedix advanced, almost no dust whats so ever.
Rotors are as good as the day i put them on. |
