actually, meant the duratec... to be worth the effort, it would have to be a fully modern design.
if they can put out an easy 200 killer wasps in mostly standard trim.. that makes for a pretty fast car when put into an E serices body.. then start workign on it and you could get pretty decent numbers .. (like with an M90 for example)

Isn't there a twin-turbo 300kW+++ version of the D37 under development? "Twinforce" or something IIRC?
But yeah a Whipple-equipped D37 would be very impressive. By 2010 the Yanks should have a few kits developed, should give our aftermarket shops a bit of a leg-up. |

if they had done it in 2 weeks im sure there would be a queue forming at their door now |
I think that's half the problem, they already have a queue at the door and that's why no work is being done on Fordman's car.
It's a pity for a workshop with a good reputation like BPT's to have something like this going on though. Not a good look at all. Even just a bit of communication would have gone a very long way. |

It will bolt up with a custom bellhousing, or maybe you could redrill the EF-EL one, but i doubt it........

Nah i havn't even called up about it in the past few weeks. To be honest i can't really afford to pay for it right now lol. A few big bills have knocked the budget for a six at the moment, it might take me a few weeks to claw back some cash. So as far as i'm concerned they can keep it hahaha.
And yuss Matteh, i will be at my lovers house on Saturday, just you keep you mitts of him orright!? Haha. |

Hey dude, i really don't know haha. Seeing as everyone is asking lately, i might have to give BPT a call and see what the go is.
Last time i spoke to them the dash was out and a new dash loom was being made up. They still had to run wiring for the oxygen sensor and gearbox.
I'll try and find out today and i'll let you know. |

| Well, going by what they quoted me when i was first looking around at getting this done, it shouldn't cost more than $1500. The car has been off the road since the third of february, that's the first day i started to pull the old engine out (check out page 2), but it only took me a few weeks to put all the new engine in (check page 7), the rest of the time (nearly 2 and a half months) has been taken up by BPT. |

I was unable to get the opposite combination to work. |

Twason, from what i can remember of what Barry was telling me, all that was needed was a park/neutral switch from a BA and going be wiring diagrams and schematics, internally the gearboxes are identical, bar a couple of tiny tiny differences. I'll confirm what he has done when i get the car back.
Heres the evidence:
