Can anyone tell me how I can go about recalibrating my speedo electronically? I've been told it can be done and want to know how it's done as I've just changed my diff gears and it's all out of whack.

You need to determin what chip is used inside the cluster. If it is the UAF2115 you are laughing. Just need to change a 5c resistor.

XD thru to ED with analog speedo's all have the 2115 chip. Commodore's and volvo's have the same chip as well. They are very common and are very easy to modify. They even have a TAXI meter output which is what I use to drive the speedo input for replacement ECU's.

All you need to do is remove the speedo from the cluster and read what is written on the chip. If it is the 2115 it IS as easy as changing a resistor. The hard part is working out what you need but even that is fairly simple.

Scaffy, shiftkits.com.au sell a speedo corrector for EF/EL. It is the jaycar kit fitted and sealed in a box, even comes with instructions on installation, which is a huge bonus.
I have one in mine
