| I'll be fitting my 94DA ported head to my engine in the next week or so, I have an AU head gasket ready just wanting advice if I should use any sealant like "Hymolar" or just fit the gasket dry? |

When I picked up the head today, from the read out of the flow report the fella from the head shop that explained it to me aswell as calculated the flow came up with 370.2 HP, he said that the exhaust side could be improved in the combustion chamber but not alot of metel left, apart from that not bad for a garage job.
Reading that auto speed article they claim the EB head flows up to 330 HP standard, I used an ED Futura head. |

They say you shouldn't use anything.
The reson why is that the metal gasket transfer the heat evenly. With the other gasket it relays on the head bolts to transfer the heat.
I think the holymor spray will leave a coat which could upset the heat transfer.
Please correct my if i'm wrong. |

I was told the AU head gasket already has a thin coat of something. So I didn't put any in and placed in dry. Car is still running

thank guys for your advice, going back through a couple of old messages, Joe from CMS says not to use any sealant.
No I didn't get a before porting flow read out, I'm currently running an EF tickford motor/head not EL so I found out, was going to get the standard tickford head port flowed just for curiosity sake. |
