hi all. I still have my xg running fine now but picked up a xh for a bargin price. Fixed all probs except driver's door won't lock. I am pulling the door trim off today to find out what's going on. Has any one got any advice for me? I have always been a ford lover but my boyfriend loves his holden's so he won't help me with the utes lol. Any advice would be very helpful. icon_wink.gif

i've had the same problem as well.

the locking barrel has a small piece of white plastic on the inside of the door, there is a small whole in the end of it..
there should be a rod somewhere without anything on it, that goes in the whole for the locking barrel.
theres a small slit in the end of the plastic so getting it in isn't difficult, just gotta push

Any E series front door actuator will fit. Central locking issues are pretty much as for E series - have a search for the many posts on them.

The lock not a problem. It was totally knackered. I bought a set of bucket seats from the wreckers out of a eb sedan as the xh has the same floor pan. BUT the bases are totally different! They told me to take the tracks off and swap them around. No prob taking tracks off eb seat but the xh seat are solid bases. Now there's a big prob for me.

XG: EB/ED seats.
XH: EF/EL seats.

IIRC for interchanging, the bases need to be cut and welded, then there's the differing seat heights.
You're better off swapping with better level EF/EL seats, e.g. Fairmont. At least then they'll fit straight in.

Yep got the local wreckers chasing up a pair of fairmont as they had the better lumbar support.

XHI's got EF seats (single lumbar) while XHII's got EL seats (twin lumbar).
