btw the 2.2OHM with the 18OHM is nice with an EL ecu... the eb-ed ecu its a bit more rough obviously the ef/el ecus have a programmed smoother shift. |

| the shift kit doesnt make the gearbox change at different times it just speeds up the change, so if your gearbox holds onto a gear once you shift up then it will still do that |

Nope, all it does is make the shift firmer and faster.

"it shifts firm" means that there is no slack between gears, slides right in, when you dont have a firm shift there is like a limobo mode between gears then bangs into gear...
shift kit just makes it change gears quicker, advantages... makes gear change quicker in a race so your more likely to get the upper hand over a car not fitted with one |

shift pattens are exactly the same it ONLY CHANGES HOW FAST THE BOX CHANGES... so instad of taking 1.5 seconds it takes less then a second to change. |

Hey guys.
Just got myself my first ford (El fairmont) after having 5 commodores.
Just did a complete service on the car ( god damn distributor wtf is with its position ) and installed a shift kit as well.
BUT i used a On Off On switch
What different does this make?
Is having it on off turn it off?
And what does the other 2 on's do?
One for 18ohm(firm) n one for 5.6ohm(soft)?
Is that correct?
If so which one do i keep it on when not wanting to use shift kit?
Thanks guys. |
