1) remove BOV and block up lines.

2) it will have to be custom made. different shapes, lengths, amount of holes, produce different sounds.

Just go to your local exhaust joint and grab a 2.5-3" straight pipe....that's all they are.

goes on front of the turbo, where the air gets sucked in.

get a silicon joiner that will connect the piece of pipe to the turbo.
you wont be able to run a air filter, the filter will muffle the noise but still sound ok.

pipe should be 10cm-15cm, different lengths get different noise.
also try using different types of metal

I run a dose pipe on my BA. It's tight fit. The inlet to the turbo is 3 inch, you need a tight 90 degree bend. I used 90 deg's from a dounut and about 10cm of straight pipe with a K&N filter on it. Dont worry about the filter muffling it, mine f**k loud!! But then I'm running 15psi.

And thats caused by the throttle closing and the air moving back through to the turbo, trying to spin it the other way???

If I wer to do a modification it would be to wreck tyres, not turbo's. icon_smile.gif

Or id be using one of these with the BOV.

Yeah you have to block off the BOV otherwise you wont get the desired sound!! I just used 2 rubber chair leg stops, and make sure you use hose clamps, otherwise one of the stop will blow off!!

that was with the small turbo, with the big one, the flutter is so loud and goes hell long. haha

A mate of mine had a 17cm straight pipe on his VL, dosed like no other, i've also tried a few combo's on a mates turbo EA, just try a few different setups till you get the best sound, on the EA we found a 90 degree bend worked best.

You can only get a 90deg on a T with stock cooler piping and the battery still there.
I've got a bit of EL intake flexi hose going to a 90deg 3" mandrel bend and a drift mushroom type pod filter on mine.
Would probably be better minus the flex hose, but I can't be fcked chopping the mandrel bend up to get it to fit.

I got no vid with decent sound, but heres a pic of the setup.

With stock cooler and boost it won't be nothing fantastic.
No one with half a brain will mistake it for a VL for instance.
