damn i cant wait to get my car back to do some fluttering, only another 2-3 weeks till the engines done, reckons ill be easy pushing 300rwkw on about 11-12psi |
that was with the small turbo, with the big one, the flutter is so loud and goes hell long. haha
you got auto or manual? might help to strengthen gearbox.
i killed my BTR and it makes f**k power
257rwhp @ 5000rpm
500Nm @ 1450rpm |
still got stock auto, but i got a large oil cooler installed and i upped the line pressure a bit with the adjustable AU S5 solenoid, what do you think will strenghten the BTR auto enough and whats a rough price on that.
Im thinking ill see how ill go with it, ill be running 7.5 psi unless i go to the drags which he said i should try to put up to 15psi into it, just the auto wont be the next weekest link. |

Cost me 3500 to get my auto to rebuilt and beefed up. Mine was fubar after 2 weeks with a blower, first time out to the drags I just about killed it with the first burnout.
beefed up with kevlar bands, they reckon it will handle up to 650 hp. Which I'd be more than happy with. |

Do a burnout and just play with the throttle, that is the real joy of a dosepipe |

| All i did today was remove the top of the air box and left the bottem off it still in the car and then just added my pod onto the flexie bit of intake pipe, same as what everyone else ahs done just a little bit feather away from the actual turbo plus it still gets cold air onto the pod which has gotta be good, well betetr then just sucking straight HOT air from the exhaust manifold |

Shape of the pipe affects what your dose sounds like. |

the 90* bend and few cm's of straight pipe amplify the sound of the turbo flutter coming from the compressor. It's a bit hard to experiment with different lenght pipes in the BA/BF's as we are hard pressed for space..
This is a thred on the calaisturbo forum, you might find it interesting...

[quote="schnoods"]And thats caused by the throttle closing and the air moving back through to the turbo, trying to spin it the other way???
If I wer to do a modification it would be to wreck tyres, not turbo's. :)quote]
true that. the fluttering is the air trying to spin the turbo backwards. and dose pipes with no filter are f**k dangerous |
