I'm using opera and I'm finding it incompatible with peer guardian.

Whenever I do something within the browser, it tries to connect to their servers. However, because I use peerguardian, all those connections get blocked, and as a result there is a large pause before any page loads.
The speech add-on won't even work unless I allow it to connect. I could just allow the opera servers IP range in peerguardian, but I'm a paranoid, and I don't want to waste bandwidth either. I don't need to be sending extra data before I load any page.

Does anyone know why the hell it needs to connect to their servers every time I do anything, and is there a way to stop it from trying?
