im not sure if lucas/TRW have been mentioned, but they have a higher temp rating than the bendix ultimates and are cheaper. not much, but are cheaper.
However, as with any good braking pad, lots of dust.

Lucas are the pads fitted standard to europeans, bmws, astras, etc.. and they all do some stopping.

Cheers
David

They can, but most places don't have the right machine to do it (most use a spring loaded cutter, this is bad when it gets stuck in a slot/hole).

I was told RDA are made in china and aren't painted giving them a rusted look over time. I have RDA discs in the rear with some bendix pads. They seem to do the job but I think it may need replacing.

Front are DBA and they work great. Have bendix ultimate pads on it and it squeals like a mofo. So I might try another pad whenever the pad starts to wear out.

tried RDA and Ferodo really really not a fan for the money you save it isnt worth it in my opinion so i went to BEndix SRT nd DBA slotted never looked back little dust and if you knew how hard it is to clean my mags you would also appreciate it icon_biggrin.gif , no squeals only after ive washed it for about a minute. And lastly they do get noisy when hot but like a humming noise when braking hard, lol hard to explain. Like i say each to their own, at the end of the day everyone has a different experience with different products.

I have used DBA' and RDA's. The DBA's were slotted and drilled and i ended up cracking the front set. The RDA's are now on the car and have been trouble free although they are only slotted. And 1965tbird, i know what you mean about the humming. I get that a lot when slowing from 170odd at the end of the track

never said i didnt like it icon_lol.gif it means the abs is also working very hard icon_lol.gif it actually isnt that noticable but if your pedantic about your car youll notice any difference in sound. Well my rule of thumb is i never go stingy on brakes and tires the rest can be bargained on. thats my 2c anyway.

No it doesn't. The escaping gases from the slots makes the noise, ABS doesn't came into it.
